Stonehaven Microbiology Services Limited (trading as SMS), was established in 2003, to provide laboratory services, primarily microbiological and chemical analyses, to the food processing, fish processing, beverage, distilling, environmental and energy sectors / industries.
SMS also provides microbiological and chemical analyses of water (including potable water, private water supplies, bottled water, swimming pools, spa pools), and conducts Legionella risk assessments and Legionella analysis in residential and industrial hot and cold water systems.
SMS also provides consultancy in food hygiene, food safety and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
Based in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, SMS has a wide customer base, including companies operating offshore in the UK and worldwide energy sectors.
